A place share my passion for card making, art journaling and watercolour painting.
As child i lived in Emsworth, England. A small village right on seashore. The ocean was my playground, seaweed, shells, and mud mud mud good memories.
I chose a Christmas theme, it felt like a fa-la-la-la kinda day. Fun to come home and make a card.
Relaxing and enjoyable.
This photo is close up of Fa la la girl by Penny Black. My favorite christmas stamp.

This is my card, I used the fall colour pallate in the photo and embossed the leaves with Thank you. I picked up the browns, oranges and reds from the photo and created a leaf montage.
For the background I used gesso and impressed leaves spine intoit. It provided a nice texture. The red string picked up the red berries.
I brought in some "real" leaves for the photo to give some reality to the card.
Hence my cats got hold of them and they are all over the house now!

This is inspiration photo for this weeks Tuesday Trigger at Moxie Fab World. the Title is "Finesse the Dress" click here to find the post
My inspiration from this picture were the colours and dress. I played with fall themes, pumpkins and leaves they all got blown away. Pardon the pun. I cut the dress and embossed it with flourish and added the embellishments. It started to come together, I added the string as belt.
Blue dress hanging on background flourish. It's a playful thank you card.
This is a detail of dress with pearl embellishments and rope belt. I repeated the same embossing as background it adds depth and fun to dress. I used glue dots to give dimension to the dress.
It's a grungy/cocktail thank you card!

When I saw this challenge my brain defaulted to `fall` and leaves. I gessoed the background and mixed in pan pastels green. To provide more texture i pressed in the spine of the leaves into the gesso. I used corrogated cardboard as backdrop for leaves. On the cardboard, i used sandpaper on to give a grungy feel. I cut the leaves from shapeabilities ``nested leaves`` and embossed the with thank you embossing folder.
As I looked at i realized it was layers of thankfulness. The twine added a nice accent of fall red. Even the the black leaves have thank anf you embossed on them.

My Moxie fab entry for Tuesday Trigger : Treat Yourself
The picture above was the trigger to create a paper project with.
My results were created rather quick but fun. Thanksgiving inspired. It's Thanksgiving Day in Canada! What a beautiful weekend! Sun.Sun.
My background was gessoed using pan pastels tried to make a carmel background. Well I got a mud colour. Um! The card apples in trees remind me that there's life in trees even in their winter slumber. Our maple leaf floats about in a carmel coat. I love fall and the colours. The cats well I foster cats for a rescue group. My two cats have been chasing leaves i brought in from outside.
